Talent Show

Again it has been a few days since Ive posted. Guess it has been a busy week. Sunday I overslept so I didnt get to go to church so I went and visited my grandma.

On Saturday my grandma turned 72 yrs old.

When I was there my grandma gave me this necklace that she bought me so I could have something from her that I can pass down to Morgan.

So pretty.

Its been a pretty typical week at work. Its only Wednesday and I am already mentally and physically exhausted. I wish there were more good days than bad days of work. As a friend of mine says sometimes you just gotta grin and bear it, but sometimes its hard when you work with the people I do. I can handle just about anything but being cussed at. I wish people could just hear how they sound when they talk like they do. I know everyone has problems but work is not the place to take it out on everyone. It really puts everyone in a bad mood.

Enough about that. Ive vented enough. Last night was the talent show at the school. It was $5 to get in and they had a cake/pie auction and served hamburgers and hotdogs. It seemed like it was a great success. The kids and the staff did really awesome!

There was a lot of great talent! Morgan sang Impossible.

This weekend is Mothers Day.  My mom will be in New York so I guess its just me and Morgan. We are going to do a girls day out or something after church. Not sure yet what we are going to do but Ill figure out something before then. Sure wish the rest of my kids were here so we could all spend the day together..  :0(  Maybe next year.

Checking back

Its been a few days since Ive blogged so Im checking back in. The storms are gone and in there place is some nice warm sunny weather. When I got off work Thursday it was nice out and the grass had dryed out so I put my stuff in the house and went out to mow and weed eat the yard.

Sure looks alot better and the grass is so green now since the rain. Thank you Lord!

Had a good day at work yesterday. Came home last night and was able to relax and enjoy the evening.

Today they are going to the movies so Ill use that time to get my house clean and laundry done.

Storms still here

Well the storms are still here. And it is spread all the way down in Texas where my boys are. I called to check on them because there was a tornado in Mabank...like really close...and Drew answered the phone saying Im ok Mom...he knew what I was going to ask

Tornado Watches and Floods

Today has been a really crazy day. It stormed most of the night last night and there has been tornado watches off and on since then.  I went to work this morning and had to turn around and take another way around because the bridge on 3rd street was flooded.

Got off at 2 today and it has done nothing but rain since I got home.

My yard is totally flooded

The water is coming from the colvert...all the water is coming from up the street....and is streaming thru my yard and into the drain ditch in the back...usually the ditch is like 4 ft deep and you have to cross the bridge to get across...the water is almost touching the bridge cause its almost full...and the water is gushing thru.

Hopefully it will stop raining tonight. Alot of people in my neighborhood are posting pictures by their houses as well so its pretty flooded everywhere....Ill have to be careful getting out at 5:30 in the morning to get to work...I might just get drifted away...lol

Easter Sunday

Had a great Easter Sunday. Woke up early this morning so Morgan had time to get her basket and we went to Sonic for breakfast on our way to church.



Church was awesome. I love to hear about the Resurrection of the Lord! Its such an amazing story!

Service was awesome and so was the music!

After church we went to my sisters house for an egg hunt and Easter dinner.

Here are Morgan and her cousin Spring before the egg hunt.  Morgan wouldnt let me take any pics of her hunting eggs but I snuck this one anyways....couldnt get any closer though...lol

She couldnt run for the eggs in her flip-flops cause it was wet out and she kept sliding so she just kicked them off and went bare-footed.

We had glazed ham, potatoes, camp beans, rolls, corn and salad for dinner.  We brought a few pieces of cake home with us cause we were too full for dessert. On our way home we stopped to see my mom and Russ at Grandpa and Gigi's house and they had another basket full of goodies for Morgan there...didnt get to get a picture of that one before she tore into it.

Floods and Eggs

Since I had yesterday off, I had most of my errands and shopping done so I spent most of the day today at home.

It was a good thing that I did because it was a wet mess outside.

This is what I seen when I looked out my backdoor.

My backyard was flooded!

Talked to Drew again today and he is camping with his dad this weekend. I sure hope the weather there is better than here. He sounded like he was having a lot of fun and said he was going to go fishing. He said Dennis stayed at home and that he probably was going to spend Easter with his girlfriend. I really missed the days when we all were able to do things together as a family. Feels like we are all over the place now.

Britany is spending her Easter weekend unpacking and getting settled into her house. And Morgan and I spent the day doing crafts and just relaxing.

Good Friday

It has been a good day. Hope everyone remembered the true meaning of today. Jesus gave his life on the cross on this day to save us from our sins.  I cant say how thankful I am that he did! Please take a moment in prayer to give thanks for all he has done for us.

I was off work today. I did a little shopping with my sister and went and paid my bills. I did get to go to Larry's Pizza. That place is awesome!

Besides that it has been a pretty quiet day. Morgan has company tonight. They just got back from playing basketball at the park

Now if I can get them to go to bed at a decent time Ill be doing alright.....lol
